Sad News!!

My laptop died the other day. =(  They think the back light has gone out?!?!  So it has been sent off to get fixed.  I was told that it will probably be about a month.  But, he said, "if you get it sooner be happy".  So I will be MIA for a while.  The worrisome news is that I rarely back up.  So I might loose everything.  =( !!!!  So keep your fingers crossed for me and take a few minutes and back your computer up.  My hubby asks me all the time if I back up - my response, "Oh yeah, I need to do that".  Well, now I am nervous!!  I will be back as soon as I can.  But, I might start back on some quilling now that all my digital stamps are in the mail somewhere.

My first Quilling card

Oh My Goodness!!!  My grandmother has been quilling for years.  Have you heard of it or seen it?  Basically it is paper rolling.  She is now 94 and just can't see well enough to do it.  So this weekend my Mom and Dad brought me her stash of quilling papers, tools, and books. I have been receiving cards from her for so many years and thought it looked like a ton of fun so I would give it a try.  I have spent all day - ALL DAY on this card.  Wowzers!!!!  The time that goes into this craft is unreal!!!  I realize this was my first time and I am slow but - well again wow!  I am going to send her this card.  I know she will enjoy receiving it because last month when I was at their apartment she still has the Christmas card I sent them sitting out.  Awe, gotta love grandma's!!  This beautiful scripture verse is from Doodle Pantry, the set is called Renewed Faith.  I will tell you I'm not sure when you will see another quilling card from me. =)

No striking out with this card.  This cutie is from Doodle Pantry the set is called Baseball Birdie.  The perfect sentiment also comes in the set.  This time I chose to use one of the pre-colored images.  I got a new printer and had to check out the color printing.  I love it!  I cut the image out in the shape of the home plate for something fun.

Happy Tuesday!  The sun was shinning here today.  That is a nice change but the weather will be turning again this evening.  More rain on the way.  But, to celebrate the sun I made a card using the Penguin Floatie image from 2 Cute Ink.  Isn't he just adorable!  Right now we are having a "water" challenge over at the 2 Cute Ink Challenge blog and this image would work perfectly so come on over and join in the water fun.
