I made this birthday card for my dad.  We will be celebrating his birthday in a couple weekends when he is back in town with us.  This darling image is from Doodle Pantry.  The set is called Winter Birthday.  I just love how this snowman is wearing a birthday hat - what a hoot!  You know he is holding an ice cream cake - yum!!  I know he will enjoy the card.

Fun Christmas Treat

Can you believe Christmas time is on it's way.  Before we know it crunch time will be here.  Today I have a fun little treat idea to show you.  I purchased these little mugs from the Dollar General after Thanksgiving on clearance.  They are salt and pepper shakers.  I filled them with red and green M&M's, covered the metal tops with scrap fabric then added some fun ribbon.  The adorable elf faces are from 2 Cute Ink.  This darling image is only available through the Digital Stamp Club - sorry.  But, it is easy to join the club!  I made one of the elves a girl by adding eye lashes and earings. They turned out darling and will be so much fun for my granddaughter to give away.

Happy Sunday!  I needed one more sympathy card for my sister-in-law's family.  The butterfly is a QuicKutz die.  I had not used it before and it is really beautiful.  I love it in the gold.  My granddaughter was right beside me the whole way through this card.  The papers I used were 12X12 so there was plenty and she made a matching card.  We had a good time working together but she is a desk hog.  I had to keep moving her out of "my space".  Fun memories made today.

Today I have a Sympathy card to show you.  They are so hard to make and this one really was.  My sister-in-law's grandmother passed away.  She loved sparkly diamonds and I know she would have loved this card.  The sentiment is from Newton's Nook Designs the set is called Simply Sentimental.  I know I am going to use this set a lot.  It can be used for so many different occasions.

Who doesn't love seeing a dog in a sweater.  I sure do.  This adorable weiner dog is from Newton's Nook Designs.  The set is called Holiday Hounds, the bone also comes in the set.  The sentiment is part of the set called Simply Sentimental also from Newton's Nook Designs.  He looks like he is ready to go out and play in the leaves.

I love love love a good pun and this one is perfect for me!!!  The fun betta fish is from Doodle Pantry and the great sentiment are part of a set called Betta Fish and Bowl.  I added the beads as bubbles and rocks at the bottom of the bowl.  Making this card made me smile.

Are you as shocked as I am that it is November 1st already.  Crazy!  The other day I won a $25.00 gift certificate to Newton's Nook.  Have you every shopped this company??  I had not.  Wowzers!  They have some super adorable stamp sets.  It took me a long time to make a decision how to spend the money.  I also found out they have a blog and a challenge.  They also have several free digital images so everyone can play along in the challenges or if you are like me and just placed your order and have to wait for your stamps to arrive you can still play.  This challenge is Cozy Plaids. I don't have many plaid paper so my choices were very limited but this sure was fun to color up and put together.  I would love to see you hop on over and check them out you won't be disappointed and grab your plaid paper and join in the challenge fun.
