Happy "OLD" Birthday!

On Thursday my Dad is celebrating his birthday.  I always make him a card to make him smile.  This year he is getting Birthday Gus  from Bugaboo Stamps.  He will love the sentiment!  If you look close you will see that I had to "patch" the balloon.  I refilled, or over refilled one of my markers.  That thing leaked so bad.  But, I had already colored everything else and I don't think he will even notice.  So I had to patch it. =)

Happy Thursday!  How fun are these!  These two and four others will be on our Thanksgiving table next Thursday.  Madi is our Granddaughter.  She has already seen these and is super excited.  The nut cups using the Thanksgiving Indians were sitting by these in my craft room.  She was beside herself by having to wait for Thanksgiving dinner.  These cuties are from Digital Delights.  The set is called Thanksgiving Pilgrims.  Now everyone will know where they are to sit at the table.

Love the colors in this card. I think the purple and orange together are so fun.  This beautiful sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  It belongs to a set called Fancy Pie.  This is a very flat card and that is not my normal.  I wanted to enter into the Cards In Envy challenge and that is a flat challenge.  It took me longer to pick out the jewels than to make the card.  But, the orange is perfect so I'm happy.

Winter Fairy

I haven't made many fairy cards.  Probably because I don't have many fairy images.  This adorable fairy is from Bugaboo Images.  She is called Winter Fairy.  The three jewels on the bottom are brads.  I purchased them a couple years back on vacation and this is the first time I think I have used them. Also, it is a flocked brad holding the bow together, also from a long time ago.   Yes, I have craft hoarding issues.

These cuties will be at our Thanksgiving table.  Aren't they fun!!  These adorable Indians are from Digital Delights.  They come as a set called Thanksgiving Indians Set.   I choose them for the nut cups because they are holding food.  I have made 4 girls and 4 boys.  The girls will have a girl indian and the boys will receive the boys.  I am excited to set  my table this year.

This is the first card I have ever made with an already colored image.  This adorable cupcake is from Doodle Pantry.  The set is called Yummy Cupcakes.  I love the coloring process but this was so quick and easy I would for sure use a color image again!

I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Tomorrow is supposed to be bringing snow.  Well, it is winter time so it will be happening sooner or later.  Today I have a card to show you that I used the image Mrs. Clause Ornament.  The image is by Bugaboo Stamps.  Not sure if you can see it but I used a sizzix die and made a branch then punched out greenery using a Martha Stewart punch.  Then I curled a piece of black wire to hang the ornament on the tree branch. =)  I am a huge fan of sugar cookies so I used my red and green markers to color some sprinkles.  Now I'm hungry for cookies.

Firetruck Fun

This cute image brings back so many memories.  My boys had a toy fire truck.  They pushed the buttons on that thing non stop.  Do you or did you have a toy like that at your house.  It was annoying at the time but now I smile.  This fun image is from Bugaboo Stamps and called Fire truck.  The silver scallop between the two red ones is tin foil.  It adds a lot of shine to the card.

Doodle Pantry Release

Well, happy November 1st!  It's the month of giving thanks.  Today starts the new release at Doodle Pantry.  Laurie has 15 new sets for this month!  Wow!  They are all so cute too.  For my first card of the month I used the set Fancy Pies.  I used Copic markers to color my pie but the set also comes colored.  There is a pumpkin pie and a lattice pie.  The set also has 5 sentiments and 9 digital papers.  You will want to hop on over to the Doodle Pantry store and check out all the new sets.
