Shimmering Seahorse

I decided to really step out of my comfort box and I had a great time doing it.  I found a new challenge and it challenged me. =)  At 101 Watercolor Challenge they wanted to see "salt technique" with watercolors.  I don't have watercolor paints but I do have some LuminArte Sparkling H2o Paints and you have to use a waterbrush with them so I thought that would work.  I watched the videos that they linked to and below is the end result.  The background of water that is.  I used three different colors to make the water. Ocean Wave, Mystic Blue,  and Moss Green.  I then just used Iridescent Green to paint the Seahorse.
Here is a close up shot of the water and Seahorse.  I used table salt because in the videos I liked that look more than Kosher salt.  I didn't brush off all of the salt on my water because it sparkles pretty. This beautiful seahorse came from a new Doodle Pantry set called Carousel Seahorse.  The set does come with him already colored and on a pole because he is part of her new carousel sets.  He also comes with 7 digital papers and 4 sentiments.  You can see one of the sentiments in the above photo.
I would like to submit this card into these challenges:
101 Watercolor Challenge - Salt Technique
The Stamping Boutique - 2 DP, circle, and square
Creative Card Crew - Sea or Beach
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Crazy 4 Challenge - More than 1 fold.
